One More Rhetorical Question from Tracy

Let’s suppose I did lie to everyone and about PT and myself.

Does that mean that I deserve to have my career ruined?

It’s not that anyone is trying to ruin her career per se; it’s more that people are tired of her lying and don’t mind putting the truth out there. And this constant bellowing about her business is getting comical. If she was truly concerned about her business reputation, she would have quit Pink Truth long ago, or at least altered her behavior.

The fact that she continues to ride this dragging pony like hell’s handmaiden means that either #1.) Her business wasn’t much to begin with, or #2.) She’s getting enough of a psychological high (or $$$) from PT that she doesn’t care if her credibility is mud.

And this incessant mantra of “they’re trying to ruin my business! they’re trying to ruin my business! they’re trying to ruin my business!” would make more sense if Tracy herself wasn’t destroying her OWN reputation.

We Interrupt this Program to Bring You Breaking News

Ok, it’s not all that new since these emails are old, but we want to respond to them. This is Tracy Coenen’s response to our discussion about her background checking activities, and her cyber-harrassment of Melissa.

First of all, Tracy, you are not an “investigator”. You are not law enforcement. You are a public accountant. Your clients do not hire you to do background checks on their employees – forensic accounting is just following receipts and accounts, looking for discrepencies. Calling yourself an investigator is not going to cover up the fact that you did some pretty unethical things here.

Do these people not understand public records? Do they have no capacity to understand the following:

1. Someone puts up a defamatory website in Oct
2. I am a fraud investigator, therefore I investigate and find out it’s Melissa
3. I do a public records search on Melissa as part of my investigation
4. I later share some of that information with someone else, because it’s public.

I guess I have no barometer for this because what I did is exactly what I do everyday. There’s absolutely nothing underhanded to it. Do other people understand it, or should I be concerned about what they might thinK?

I guess I’m thinking that they just don’t understand what’s out there as legitimately public. And if they don’t understand, then I’ll assume that our members don’t understand either. Do “they” really think I’d be so stupid as to do something illegal and then give the results to Julz? Come on. So I guess if you hear any rumblings or questions, can you make sure peope understand it’s no big deal to you, and then also have them ask me. And make sure to say… she investigates fraud for a living… hello…

Oh well… okay… well if you hear any chatterings about it, just make sure they know they can ask etc and that lots of stuff is totally public and people dont’ realize it. I don’t want to bring attention to this issue if I don’t have to, but I want to make sure that everyone has the chance to know it’s on the up-and-up. I am so sick of self-scrutinizing my every move.

We’re #3, 4 and 5 For This Term

It’s true. We’re right there–right under sequence-inc.

Eerie Similarity Number 5: Cheap Crap

In light of Mike the Maintenance Man’s experience with his PTlies shirt that we created on Cafe Press, we were reminded of another similarity between Pink Truth and Mary Kay.

Cheap Crap.

Directors are constantly handing out cheap trinkets to consultants who reach their goals or are top seller in their unit for the week.

But unlike directors, Tracy expects people to shell out good money for her inferior goods.

Tracy sells the same kind of junk on her site. The Pink Truth shirts are sold through her Cafe Press store. The same thin, crappy-quality shirt we made for PTlies. It only took one look to see what over-priced junk those shirts are. Yet apparently Tracy expects her visitors to support her site by shelling out money for poor quality merchandise such as this.

Mary Kay & Pink Truth: Eerie Similarity Number 2

Similarities Between Mary Kay & Pink Truth

Similarity Number 2: Both have ranks of “achievement” and users (recruits) must jump through hoops to attain these and the special privileges that come with them.

Mary Kay has the Red Jacket, the DIQ, the Director, the NSD and so on.

Pink Truth? Well, we’ve got Countesses and Viscountesses and, of course, the “Queen” Tracy.

Apparently, she couldn’t achieve Queen of Sales or Queen of Recruiting, or Queen of the Fraud Examiners, so she just crowned her little frustrated self.

But the “privileges” that come with the obscure rankings on Pink Truth are ambiguous and always changing.

Case in point: One Pink Truth discussion board member found her “rank” had changed to “Lady in waiting” one day and she didn’t know why.

Waiting for what, she wondered? Punishment from the Queen?

The ability to send personal messages is another privilege than can suddenly disappear on the Pink Truth discussion board. It can be there for you one day, then not the next.

Why? Because the Queen said so, of course.

So just like Mary Kay, there are hoops to jump through to reach certain levels. It appears some of those hoops are invisible to the members, though. (Hmmm…virtual hoops!)

Just like Mary Kay, if you don’t “perform” at your rank, you are demoted.

With games like this, who needs junior high!

Mary Kay & Pink Truth: Eerie Similarities

The staff and I have been sitting in our virtual private meeting room, munching on sushi and drinking virtual martinis (we can’t drink on the job…get real!) and kicking ideas and information around.

Someone mentioned that they thought Pink Truth and Tracy Coenen shared some striking similarities to Mary Kay and its consultants & directors.

We started a list and we were astounded at the number of similarities.

We thought we’d share them with you, naturally, so stay tuned.

Here’s our first entry.

Eerie Similarities Between Mary Kay & Tracy Coenen/Pink Truth

Eerie Similarity Number 1: Both Mary Kay directors and Tracy Coenen rent office/meeting space to appear larger and more impressive to others.

Discussion: Mary Kay directors usually rent meeting space for their “Success Meeting,” frequently joining with other directors to make their units appear larger.

Tracy Coenen pays for a virtual office in Chicago in order to give the impression that her Sequence-Inc business is larger and more impressive than it perhaps is.

For Pink Truth, Imitation is the Sincerest Form of Flattery.

Part 1

Many people have pointed out that the original anti-MK blog was Mary Kay Exposed written by pinkcaddy. You can still read some of the posts from it on the pink lighthouse site (thanks for that info Terry!).

This is the blog that Tracy grabbed traffic from. In the comments when the blog closed, Tracy announced that she was starting MaryKaySucks, her “new” blog.

She then changed the name to PinkTruth because she realized Mary Kay might come after her about the name (ya think?) The style and content of what you see on PinkTruth tried to continue in the style of Mary Kay Exposed. Only problem is that PinkTruth isn’t nearly as creative or funny.

No, the comments and writing on PinkTruth, as it soon became clear, are to hurt people and reveal information they don’t want revealed.

It’s important to realize that Tracy Coenen didn’t create a darn thing when she started PinkTruth. She could have easily started her own blog on Mary Kay years ago, but she didn’t.

Instead she struggled in vain to make a beauty discussion board fly. (It didn’t because there wasn’t anything there to interest people–she didn’t know how to create a site people were interested in.)

She spent her time on Unitnet trying to figure out how to break in to director’s sites and leave messages on their guestbooks. (Hmmmm…is that a good thing for a fraud examiner to be spending their time doing?)

But this was only the beginning of Tracy’s harvesting of others’ ideas. More in part 2.

Tracy Throws Down A Challenge

Tracy said publicly that nobody “has any dirt on her” because she’s never “done anything wrong”, according to what I’ve read.

Really Tracy? Are you that stupid?

Then let the games begin.

First up this evening, for your viewing pleasure, we have Tracy Coenen aka “PinkTruth” sending private messages to a blogger, in which she feeds all of Melissa’s personal information to her. (Melissa being the owner of www.mypinktruth.wordpress.com.) Tracy likes to terrorize people for fun, but she doesn’t want to get the blame for it, so she gave this information to another blogger to post for her.

In Tracy’s psychotic world, people who are critical of PinkTruth are trying to “destroy her business”. In her mind, it is justifiable to commit crimes of threatening, harassing, stalking, and hacking in order to get revenge on her critics. We can show proof of all these things in Tracy’s own words.

In these messages, Tracy Coenen (CPA, MBA, CFE) collected the following information about Melissa:

1. The name of her daughter

2. Her address, the value of the land her house sits on, the value of her house, the date the house was purchased

3. The bank Melissa has her mortgage through, and the amount left on Melissa’s home loan

4. The make and model of Melissa’s car

5. Melissa’s physical characteristics

From the information Tracy Coenen gathered, it looks as if she looked up Melissa’s property details in the county records, and somehow got hold of her information from the Department of Motor Vehicles. We’re not sure how she discovered Melissa’s mortgage information, however. This is interesting because Tracy Coenen IS NOT A PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR. Her certificate with the Association of Fraud Examiners does not give her leeway to obtain personal information on people and use it against them in this manner.

(I have the rest of the PMs but for some reason WordPress won’t let me put more than one JPG on this post without it getting all screwy)
