Happy Monday!!!! Tracy/PinkTruth shared some ideas with us on the chatty chat (PT chatroom) last night. I asked her if I could pass them on to you and she said, yes.
The main part of Pink Truth (the blog) needs to remain ON TOPIC (this will be a true test for ME — tee hee) and FACTUAL and TRUTHFUL….of course all of us are going to be wrong at one point or another, but being as honest and truthful as we can and then correcting ourselves when we find out otherwise is absolutely OK! And if you know that a statement is WRONG, please be sure to correct the COMMENT not the person.
Let’s keep the BLOG a welcoming, informational and positive space.
How Tracy asks that we treat — what we call — Kaybots and Trolls on the blog by simply welcoming them or ignore them (oh there’s another test for me!!!) and continue talking ON TOPIC.
She said that the discussion board be the place where we talk about things like — beauty bliss — ebay — being annoyed by trolls and kaybots.
She has started a section (by request — jee I wonder who needed it the most — LOL!) called screammmmmmmmmmm and I’ve already posted a new topic under it kind of what this section is to be used for — so head to the discussion board under screammmmmm to see my comments.
Here’s one thing that you will see me do (and I recommend that you do it as well) on the blog if I am annoyed or have something to contribute to something that someone has mentioned that is OFF topic, I will say ***taking to discussion board and under whichever topic****.
So for instance, Comment #34 Suzy Q (waving to Suz) says: what does Ivory 204 equal in Beauty Bliss — I will say ***#34 Suzy Q taking to discussion board on BB*** then I will go to the thread on beauty bliss and answer her question. This will help until we all get the hang of using the discussion board better. Make sense?
You might be wondering WHY DOES IT MATTER WHERE I POST WHAT….well here’s the reason: It’s the first thing MKC, the DSA and newbies see (and we want to make sure we are inviting to newbies).
PinkTruth (formerly MKSucks) has grown to where we have 1500 new hits a day……WOW huh? And it is hard for a “newbie” to read through all the comments to get their facts. We want to keep the blog ON TOPIC and the discussion board is for “US” to have fun and talk other ideas, etc.

Yes, I was once “welcome” on PT so long as I agreed upon the topic at hand. Differ from that and you will be ignored…more like BANNED. My comments would be deleted. I was banned from the discussion board as well, I never even posted and I only looked because there was some “drama” there that my blog friend needed to see. I guess we will all be fooled if they stay on topic on the site and then take the rudeness behind closed doors. How mature. =) I tend to like to say what I want when I want with tact. If you have nothing to hide, you have no one to hide from.
At the time this email came out, it made sense. Reading it again now makes me laugh out loud. Dumb. The part that makes me laugh the most is where she says,

Here’s the real truth behind that email. Sickie had created her very own blog– on her own without permission from Tracy. (criminal, I know) And it was to be used as a place to vent. She invited several of her PT friends to start posting over there and several of them did. In her email invitation, she made it a special point to mention that her blog was NOT to replace PT’s, but to simply give others a different forum in which to bitch. But we all can figure out her true intent. To be in charge of something.
Well, interestingly enough, Tracy was NOT included in this original email invite. Ain’t that interesting? And of course, word got out to her immediately. (someone tattled– I know who, but I can’t say) Tracy promptly lowered the axe on it and wouldn’t ya know it, it was DELETED within a day.
The above email follows relatively soon after Sickie’s failed blogging attempt. I’ll go back and check my dates to ensure accuracy in reporting (he) but I’m pretty sure I’m right on.
So to dumb it down for you retarded types:
Sickie tried to break free of Tracy once. Tracy found out and got pissed. In an effort to please the Queen, Sickie not only closed her blog, but then encouraged everyone she had originally invited to that blog to start really using the “gift” of a discussion board that Tracy had so selflessly and generously provided for all.
Sickie is hopelessly co-dependent, and Tracy is very happy to keep her that way.

This is hilarious. Some of us TRIED to warn Tracy that having a blog AND a discussion board would prove cumbersome and confusing. And whaddya know? It’s true. The blog used to be where the discussion happened… and then there was the board, and now people have to post twice, or in both places, or risk missing out on what’s happening.
Here’s a tip for all you wanna-be admins out there – if you want people to come to your blog/board/site you have to make it EASY to navigate with few restrictions. People get online to relax and enjoy themselves, and don’t want a bunch of protocol, rules and regulations getting in the way of that. And they don’t want to get banned simply because of their IP address, or the fact that they choose to surf anonymously do prevent hackers from attacking them.
Sorta reminds me of racism, really. “Sorry, you can’t post here, your IP address is from the wrong side of the tracks.”
